Ethel’s Escape is a large three bedroom converted barn and granary in the Yorkshire Wolds, just outside the City of York.
You know this is a special cottage the moment you walk through the door; a stunning farmhouse kitchen greets you featuring a huge bespoke wooden table, big enough to seat 12 people. With hand crafted wooden stairs and features, the open plan lounge has a Western ranch feel, with its chinked wooden wall and electric stove with a cosy flame effect.
The large first floor master bedroom features a unique hand crafted bathroom, complete with saloon style swing doors. There’s also a wooden four poster in here with a sumptuous free standing double ended bath at its foot. The remaining two bedrooms are on the first floor offering a king sized bed with ensuite and free standing double ended bath. and a twin room which can be made into a Super King on request at the time of booking.
The stable door to the rear of the property leads out onto a private courtyard garden perfect for enjoying an al fresco lunch in the summer months or pre-dinner drinks
Ethel's Escape has wifi, the password can be found in the information folder inside the cottage.
