Bricknell Cottages are part of Pear Tree Farm, the title “Bricknell” coming from the herd name of the now dispersed world-renowned Holstein dairy herd. You will be staying in buildings converted from the old milking parlour, hay barn, stable, granary, milk dairy and calf rearing houses in which many of the famous Bricknell cows were born and lived, which is why we have named our lovely cottages after their previous inhabitants! There are wonderful stories behind such names as Ruby's Retreat, Ethel's Escape, Peach's Place, Roxy's Roost and Clover Leaf - why not come and stay and read all about them?

Times change and we are excited that our handsome buildings have been given a new lease of life, which we hope will be as fulfilling as their first.
