The accommodation is all on the ground floor. You’ll find a cosy lounge/kitchen/dining area leading to two double bedrooms. The master bedroom features a gorgeous 4-poster bed and open plan bathroom complete with sumptuous double bath. The second bedroom is also en suite. Each room includes an LCD TV and DVD player.

The front of the cottage has a charming patio area which looks out onto open fields, perfect for a spot of al fresco dining or a pre-dinner drink in the summer months.

The Yorkshire landscape, and in particular the Yorkshire Wolds, was the inspiration for many of David Hockney’s stunning paintings in his recent Royal Academy exhibition. Take the Hockney trail and visit some of the locations so synonymous with his work. The village of Kilham is the setting for the July/Winter Tunnel series of paintings with the trees at Thixendale inspiring the incredibly vibrant Three Trees at Thixendale series.
